Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia would like to invite you to join us in the celebration of International Museum Day 2017 (IMD 2017) on 18th of May 2017, Thursday from 10 PM until 5.30 PM.
The theme of IMD 2017 is Museums and Contested Histories: Saying the Unspeakable in Museums.
This theme focuses on the role of museums that, by working to benefit society, become hubs for promoting peaceful relationships between people. Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur – Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM) is pleased to announce the launching of our latest exhibition “The Tatars – Muslims in the Republic of Poland”. This exhibition which will be officially open to public on 11th April 2017 is a collaborative effort between the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur. In conjunction with the exhibition, a special lecture entitle ‘Islam and Relationship with the Muslim lands in Poland: A Short Historical Survey from 900 until current times’ will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Ataullah Bogdan Kopanski during the launching on 11th April 2017 at 3.00 pm.
7 May 2017. BeingME Conference – The Best of ME gives all Muslim women an outlet to express the reality of their lifestyles, share accomplishments and inspire others to achieve the same. We provide the opportunity for all Muslim women to connect and become pillars that support each other and the Deen.
